Proenza Schouler F/W 2011

-The inspiration for this F/W collection came for the American West when Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez went on a trip to Santa Fe. Inspired by the Native American textiles and back in their studios, they decided to create their own patterns. Afterwards they pixelated them, bringing to life this kaleidoscopic collection. 

With lovely accessories, marvelous shoes and bags, a very natural makeup and a messy ponytail looking like it was about to come undone, the clothes were beautifully complemented. 

Playing with different lenghts, velvet, fringe, asymmetrical cuts and slouchy pants, this collection is a reaffirmation of the talent and creativity behind Proenza Schouler.

-La inspiración para esta colección O/I vino de un viaje realizado a través del Oeste Americano por los chicos de Proenza Schouler, Jack McCollough y Lázaro Hernández para llegar a Santa Fe, Arizona. Inspirados por los textiles de los Nativos Americanos, una vez en su estudio decidieron crear sus propios patrones. Después de eso los pixelearon, dando vida a esta caleidoscópica colección.

Con accesorios adorables, bolsas y zapatos maravillosos, un maquillaje muy natural y una colita de caballo desaliñada y que da la impresión de estar a punto de deshacerse, las prendas fueron muy bien complementadas. 

Jugando con los largos, terciopelo, flequillos, cortes asimétricos y pantalones de tiro bajo y desenfadado, esta colección sirve como reafirmación del talento y creatividad detrás de Proenza Schouler.

¡Me quedo fascinada por las diferentes texturas!

"Couture is about emotion..." Givenchy HC Fall 2011

-Tim Blanks meets with Riccardo Tisci to talk about his latest Haute Couture collection, Fall 2011. Tisci speaks about modernity and what the future means to Givenchy while he explains the intricate and meticulous process of creating every single one of the stunning pieces. A beautiful and ethereal collection one can only dream with. Lovely dreams, nevertheless.
Loving the part when he speaks about emotion, mood and tradition.

Lanvin A/W 2011 movie campaign

-So this is the Lanvin A/W 2011 movie campaign that's been all over the internet for the past hours. It stars Raquel Zimmermann, Karen Elson and an adorable Alber Elbaz dancing to Pitbull. The video was shot by Steven Meisel.

I guess good rythm isn't one of the strenghts of these beautiful models but at least they're wearing lovely clothes and a lot of confidence... Isn't that what makes it fun? Got to love Alber Elbaz!

Supongo que tener buen ritmo no forma parte de las fortalezas de estas hermosas modelos pero al menos traían hermosos atuendos puestos y una gran cantidad de confianza, ¿no es eso lo que lo hace divertido? ¡Cómo no querer a Alber Elbaz!
